Announcing Our Certification

The Olander Company, Inc., received ISO 9001:2015 certification for our Sunnyvale headquarters, joining the Woodinville, Washington location, where it was previously attained. Our Rancho Cordova location is currently not yet ISO certified.

What Is ISO 9001:2015 Certification?

ISO 9001:2015 certification means that we adhere to quality standards to serve our customers, especially those that require this level of certification. Olander is proud of our legacy of ensuring quality and customer satisfaction throughout our 60-plus-year history, but now we are meeting these values according to even more stringent criteria.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) sets quality standards and guidelines for our Quality Management System, which is applied across our entire business, from supplier sourcing through to customer order management and fulfillment. This requires a rigorous third-party certification and annual audit.

Benefits of Choosing an ISO Certified Company

Meeting the high standards of ISO 9001:2015 certification gives our customers peace of mind that they are working with a verified quality distributor. Rather than having to audit us as a new supplier, new customers can enter into a relationship with us more easily with ISO certification. Quite literally, it saves them time and money.

Olander is pursuing five core areas of quality improvement criteria related to ISO certification.

  1. Vendor Supplier – we are requiring a higher level of quality from our suppliers who provide incoming products to our warehouses.

  2. Outgoing Quality – these activities and processes ensure that our customers receive the parts they specifically ordered.

  3. Warehouse Operations – We have incorporated processes and quality control measures to make sure products were sourced and packaged correctly.

  4. Complete on First Shipment – with every customer, we hold to an even higher level of assurance with fulfilling their complete order with one shipment, avoiding multiple shipments and/or back orders.

  5. Overall Customer Satisfaction – while errors always occur, we have systems in place to correct and solve for inaccuracies. At Olander, our commitment is always to make it right and to continuously improve, with a goal of near-100% customer satisfaction.

Meeting Industry Requirements

With its ISO 9001:2015 certification, Olander meets quality standards that allow us to gain business from customers who are required to do business with ISO-certified customers. These customers tend to be grouped in high compliance and regulated industries. These industries include:

  • Transportation, including Aviation and Aerospace, where safety considerations are paramount.

  • Chip Manufacturing and Robotics, where product accuracy and support of their clean room process is critical.

  • MedTech, where medical compliance is required.

  • AgriTech, where food safety guidelines must be followed.

ISO 9001:2015 certification now applies to all aspects of the Olander Company’s product inventory, customer order management systems, and services such as vendor managed inventory (VMI) and kitting services. If you have questions about ISO 9001:2015 certification, please contact us here.
